Patient Representative Group
We are looking for patients to join a new Patient Representative Group. This group will help us to shape and develop the range of services we offer and the way they are provided. We hope to involve a diverse range of patients to obtain views from right across our patient population. During the first year we will make this a 'virtual' group. This means most of the communication will be through email and the completion of online surveys. However, we will make sure those without internet access can also take part.
What will be involved?
We want to ask our patients to complete a regular survey that asks them a series of simple questions about how we are doing and what they might like us to do differently. We want to pose the right questions, so the group will be asked to help us with that. The group will also be asked to comment on the action plan we produce from the survey results and to suggest additional ways we might make the improvements highlighted. We will then publish the survey results along with the action plan agreed for all to view. This type of process is likely to be repeated in subsequent years to continue the dialogue with our patients and update the development process.
What will I have to do?
If you are interested in helping us, simply complete a form available from reception and return it to us or telephone the surgery to advise if you find it difficult to get here during normal working hours. Your details will be kept safe and secure and remain confidential to the practice. Your input will be anonymised and will not be identifiable by others. We do need the initial group to be formed quite quickly so the survey can be established so contact with us by the end of January 2012 is preferred although you will be able to join at a later date and assist with a subsequent survey if you wish.
