Updates Mental Health Services… could this help you…
Posted on 1 Jun 2020
Since the Covid-19 pandemic started, referrals into local mental health services have declined; however the need for mental health services has never been greater.
People who are struggling with anxiety, low mood or depression don’t need to suffer in silence and we would welcome your support in making sure that people can continue to access appropriate services when they need them.
All of our services covering the London boroughs of Wands worth, Merton, Sutton, Richmond and Kingston are open to patients and anyone who needs to should continue to refer patients through the usual routes.
We are making changes to our services to protect both our patients and our staff, using technology such as Attend Anywhere, phone consultations and Face time where appropriate but we will continue to see people face-to-face where this is needed.
In particular we would encourage those people who are suffering from low mood, anxiety or depression to contact our IAPT or talking therapies services:
We have extended our Mental Health Support Line (0800 028 8000) to provide advice and support to people of all ages 24/7 who are affected by urgent mental health issues, at any time of the day or night. It is open to everyone: both children and adults of all ages, and to people who haven’t previously accessed mental health services.
And our Recovery Cafes are still open to help adults (18 years+) with mental health issues. Find out more here https://www.swlstg.nhs.uk/patients-carers/crisis-support/mental-health-support-line.
