Proposal to Merge with Beddington Medical Centre Posted or Updated on 24 Mar 2016

Following our patient consultation in November and December 2015 this is now progressing.  We had been working towards a merge date of 1^st July 2016, however, please note this has now shifted to 1^st October 2016.  Doctors and staff from Beddington Medical Centre will then join us here at Shotfield Medical Practice from Monday 3^rd October 2016 and our clinicians will work across the ground and first floor areas.  Our clinical systems will merge at the same time so that information is transferred for all patients to the practice.  There are approximately 3600 patients at Beddington Medical Centre currently and we hope the vast majority of them will also join us here at Shotfield Medical Practice.  They will be advised on this specifically by letter in due course and they will have the option to register elsewhere if they so wish.  Our phone system will be expanded to accommodate the new demand we will encounter at the practice and to allow for the additional staff we will also have at that time.  We thank you for your support during this process and we hope all our patients will benefit from this larger organisation and that we can continue to provide the best possible health care to our entire future patient population.  If patients from either practice have any queries concerning this they should contact myself at Shotfield Medical Practice or Anjali Pattani at Beddington Medical Centre.  Please see HERE for full details on the merger and the implications to our services at that time.
